Training Philosophy



I started my business because I wanted to offer my clients more than a one hour workout session. I wanted my clients to be able to make lifestyle changes that keep them feeling healthy and fabulous all day, at any age...

 
Finding time to take care of ourselves is not easy, our goal is to help you incorporate fitness into your life in a way that is successful for you. Exercise is more than just weight loss, workouts, and diets - fitness is essential to our quality of life. A fit lifestyle is a passion that we want to share with you.

Training Style: We believe in training for function and the optimal performance of daily tasks, activities, and interests. Focus is placed on balance, body weight exercises, core stability, and muscle strength and endurance. Most of our training uses free weights, balance balls, resistance bands, and body weight - not a lot of machines or heavy weight.

Why Our Work Inspires Us:
Helping people realize that small changes can equal big rewards. Being able to help someone change their life is an unbelievably rewarding experience. Watching a client perform an exercise they didn't think they could do or reach a goal they really wanted to achieve is always inspiring.

The benefits of personal training: Reaching beyond the health benefits gained from cardiovascular and strength training - personal training is a great way to find what type of exercise program will be successful for you - PERSONAL is so important. Individual or small group sessions insure that you get the one on one attention you deserve in a safe, efficient, and effective manner . Health benefits are great, but only if you find a type of exercise that you enjoy and can maintain! Personal training is also a way to schedule your workouts, track goals, keep you accountable for positive changes, treat yourself to an hour of YOU time, and so much more.

Appointment details
: Training appointments last an hour and include components of cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility training. Sessions include circuit style training, metabolic training, flexibility, core, and functional focus. All programs are designed to accommodate your needs and abilities. All of our programs are specific to the individual client and we will work together to make sure you are comfortable, enjoying your time, and also benefiting from the personal guidance. We always start with an initial assessment meeting - not to take down numbers and talk deeply about goals, but for us to get to know each other, discuss your wants and needs from a trainer, and to decide if we can make a good match for you.
